Power Up is an amazing opportunity for intense spiritual growth. Experience the power and victory that breaks strongholds – those areas of our lives that have not yet been brought under the Lordship of Christ. Whether you are a new Christ follower or have been walking with Jesus for a decade or more, we all need more of Jesus. Come on the Power Up journey and move forward to a deeper level in Jesus where there is joy, peace, strength and wholeness.
What is Power Up?
Power Up is the first of a 3 step series that will lead you to a new level of freedom in Christ. This first step is an intensive teaching series. Each session lasts approximately one hour and includes handouts and study materials to help you get the most out of each session. Power Up is designed to be culminated by a weekend retreat called “Power Life Encounter”, which is step 2.
When is Power Up?
Power Up is offered on Wednesday evenings at different times throughout the year.
Why Power Up?
Power Up teachings are foundational teachings that can help you resolve personal struggles and issues that keep you from living a vital Christ-centered life. This 3-step Power series will become a foundation for everyone at Res Life.
Isn’t Sunday Morning preaching sufficient?
Sunday morning preaching sermons usually tells us what we need to believe and do, but are often short on the “how to” aspects. The Power series is designed to show us many of the “how tos”, so we can apply what we learn on Sundays and live successful Christian lives.
But I have been a born again Christian for years, why should I participate?
First, it will be a good review, giving you the same experience of those attending, so we are all on the same page. When you go through the Power Up teaching and the Power Life Encounter weekend, you as a more mature Christian will be prepared to help others at Res become disciples of Jesus.
Why do we need a retreat?
Although the Power Up teaching is extremely important, the focus, intensity, and small group interaction help bring you into the vital, relational aspect of truly encountering God. This retreat weekend has been a life changing time for many others as they personally encounter God’s presence in their life and find a new closeness to Jesus and lasting solutions to personal struggles.
Can anyone attend the Encounter God retreat?
The retreat is open to anyone who has attended all sessions of the Power Up teaching.
If Step 1 is Power Up, Step 2 is Encounter God, what is Step 3?
Step 3 is Power Walk. Power Walk follows the Encounter God weekend, with a teaching that helps solidify your Encounter God experience in a way that enables you to live your life at a higher level.

How much does it cost?
The Power Up and Power Walk classes are free. There is a 35 dollar charge for the Power Life Encounter weekend, to cover the cost of your meals and supplies.
